Alan Jones

Alan has over a 15 years experience in business, government, law and public relations in Australia the US and the UK in roles that required advanced strategic analysis, communication and management skills to achieve results. Before beginning his career in public relations, Alan was previously Chief of Staff and Ministerial Adviser in the Australian Federal Government, where he served in the IT, Telecommunications and Media and Treasury portfolios, and as an adviser and speechwriter to the Leader of the NSW Opposition. He also served on the Commonwealth Ministerial Committee on Government Communications, which makes key decisions relating to major and/or sensitive government information and advertising campaigns.

His opinion columns on politics, economics and the media have appeared in The Australian Financial Review, The Australian and other newspapers and journals.

He has provided business development, communications and government advisory services to a range of companies in high technology, telecommunications and finance. His practice areas are corporate reputation management, including, issues and crisis management, media relations, government relations and regulatory affairs, media and presentation training, and internal communications and coaching, thought leadership, speechwriting; transactions and listed company communications.

Qualifications/Education
Law – Oxford University (Trinity College) and University of Toronto Faculty of Law
Masters Degree in Economics – London School of Economics
Honors Degree in Government and International Affairs – Georgetown University

Alan is a member of the National Press Club (Australia), Asia Society, The American Club  and the Foreign Policy Association (USA).
